According the idea of the big society, citizens should get more power and take more responsibility. More room should be created for civil initiatives. That way, local networks will be empowered and citizens will play a more active role in society. But how do local issues and identity relate to issues on a global level? How inclusive can we expect the big society to be? We want to create a sustainable political system. The question is how to balance government, the corporate sector and citizens in a way that brings this about.
