Milota is a member of the Nieuwe Utrechtste School. This interdisciplinary platform was created by UMC Utrecht and Utrecht University to improve the integration of the humanities in health education. At the Julius Centre for education innovation, she focuses on the implementation of the Arts in the medicine curriculum. “The ultimate goal is to teach clinician an approach that is more human-centred,” she explains in an interview with Rotys.

Milota studied English literature at the University of Antwerp. Prior, she studied international law in her home country, the USA.

Dr. Megan Milota is universitair docent Medical Humanities aan het Julius Centrum (UMC Utrecht).

Milota is lid van de Nieuwe Utrechtse School, een interdisciplinair platform opgericht vanuit het UMC Utrecht en de Universiteit Utrecht om de geesteswetenschappen meer te verbinden met de geneeskunde. Milota studeerde Engelse letterkunde aan de Universiteit van Antwerpen. Daarvoor studeerde zij Internationaal Recht in haar thuisland, de Verenigde Staten.
