Emmelot-Vonk studeerde geneeskunde aan de Universiteit van Maastricht. In 2009 promoveerde zij met het proefschrift getiteld 'Testosterone and frailty in elderly men.'

Dr. Marielle Emmelot-Vonk is a clinical geriatrician at the University Medical Center Utrecht.

She investigates, among other things, cardiovascular risk factors with elderly people and mobility and functionality of elderly people.
