Dikeç’ research focuses on three main themes of urban geography: the politics of space, urban revolts, and temporal urban infrastructures. He designs his educational programmes around these three themes and has written multiple books about these themes. His works include Space, Politics and Aesthetics and Pumping Time: Temporal Infrastructures in Nineteenth-Century Paris. He is also an editor of the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research.

Dikeç received his PhD at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior, he graduated from the Middle East Technical University of Ankara, Turkey.

Prof. dr. Mustafa Dikeç is hoogleraar Urban Studies aan de École d’urbanisme de Paris en schrijver van het boek Urban Rage: the Revolt of the Excluded.
