Strzelecka’s main research focuses on women’s rights movements, human rights, revolutions, transnational politics and the complexity of social and political change in the Middle East and North Africa, with a focus on Yemen. An extended version of her PhD thesis was published as a book entitled Women in the Arab Spring: the Construction of a Political Culture of Feminist Resistance in Yemen.

In 2021, Strzelecka was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to implement a research project entitled Rethinking Peacebuilding: women, revolution, exile, and conflict resolution in Yemen. Before she came to Amsterdam, she was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Granada.

Strzelecka's onderzoek richt zich op vrouwenrechtenbewegingen, mensenrechten, revoluties, transnationale politiek en de complexiteit van sociale en politieke veranderingen in het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika, met een focus op Jemen. Een uitgebreide versie van haar PhD thesis verscheen ook als boek met de titel Women in the Arab Spring: the Construction of a Political Culture of Feminist Resistance in Yemen.

In 2021 werd Strzelecka een Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow bij de afdeling Sociale en Culturele Antropologie aan de Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (NL), waar ze het door de EU gefinancierde project Rethinking Peacebuilding: women, revolution, ballingschap en conflictoplossing in Jemen leidt. Voordat ze naar Amsterdam kwam, was ze Universitair Docent bij de afdeling Politicologie en Bestuurskunde aan de Universiteit van Granada.
